Basecamp Kids

Waypoint provides a safe and spiritually nurturing environment for kids in 3rd grade and lower while their parents attend worship. Lessons and childcare are provided during the 10:00 worship hour.

Our primary goals are to:

  1. Develop children’s love for Jesus

  2. Intentionally expose them to scripture and the nature of God

  3. Empower parents to enforce messages and teaching at home

Basecamp Classes

CUBS

  • Babies and toddlers are in a constant state of wonder as they begin to experience and learn about God’s love. Our nursery is a soft, colorful, and safe environment that is consistently staffed with caring, background-checked parents and volunteers who communicate and display God’s love to each child.

TREKKERS

  • Our energetic Trekkers gather with their leaders in their own classroom where they learn the Bible lesson, play interactive games, and make crafts to reinforce the Bible story. As kids grow and move around more, we want to give them experiences that engage their hearts, minds, and bodies.

FLYERS

  • Our four-year-old Flyers gather in the Rogers theater on Sunday mornings playing interactive games, experiencing live storytelling and engaging videos as a group, singing and dancing to worship songs, and making crafts to reinforce the Bible story.

  • Our Explorers gather in the Rogers Theater on Sunday mornings where we're able to tap into the way kids are naturally wired to discover, so they can begin to experience for themselves who God is and how much He loves them. Lessons are given through a combination of small groups, live storytelling, innovative games, and high-energy worship songs.

EXPLORERS

RANGERS

  • We have a special “Rangers Field Manual” notebook for 4th and 5th graders, and they are invited to join their families in the regular service. Copies of the Rangers Field Manual can be picked up at the Basecamp check-in located in the Rogers Building or in the Chapel Atrium on the Basecamp table.

PIONEERS

  • Our Pioneer preschoolers gather in the Rogers theater on Sunday mornings playing interactive games, experiencing live storytelling and engaging videos as a group, singing and dancing to worship songs, and making crafts to reinforce the Bible story.

Next Steps

We encourage parents to consider investing their time in BaseCamp kids — or find ways to plug into other aspects of the church community. Contact us to get involved, or check out the SERVE tab on this site.

While we endeavor to be a uncomplicated church, we take the protection and security of children extremely seriously. All leaders and volunteers are screened and trained in security protocols.
